The Title Resource Network offers
a complete portfolio of services to make your closing
smooth and worry-free. We have included a brief description
of some of these services.
|
Title Insurance:
Your policy of protection against loss should a "hidden
hazard" (fraud and forgery, defective deeds, mental
incompetence, confusion due to identical names and clerical
errors) in the records result in a claim against your
ownership of property, even after a thorough title search
has been completed.
Closing Services:
A meeting of all parties involved in a property transaction during which the transaction is consummated. Also
called a "settlement" of the property.
1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges:
A transaction that allows you to roll-over all of the
proceeds received from the sale of an investment property
into the purchase of one or more other like-kind investment
properties. At closing, proceeds are transferred to
a third party, typically referred to as a Qualified
Intermediary (such as the Title Resource Network), who
holds them until they are used to acquire the new property.
A 1031 exchange is often referred to as a Starker exchange.
Escrow Services:
A method of closing a real estate transaction in which
all required documents and funds are placed with a third
party (such as the Title Resource Network) for processing
and disbursement.
